TBD Race Calendar: March 2025

It is hard to believe, but the NYC racing calendar has already been in full swing for several weeks. We’re now moving into the heart of the early season race calendar, so for those willing to brave cold temperatures, there is a lot to choose from over the next few weeks on the TBD Race Calendar.

Here is a look at the races that we’re most looking forward to, and as always keep an eye on the TBD Race Calendar for the full race schedule. Wherever possible the calendar includes the relevant Bikereg links - just click through to the event description.

  • March 8-9: there are three “local” races this weekend, and a fourth for racers willing to drive up to Farmington, CT for Sunday’s “Frozen Four” event.

  • March 15-16: the following weekend is a bit slower, with the Branchbrook Series continuing on Saturday, and the Frozen Four in Connecticut on Sunday.

  • March 22-23: wow, there is a lot of racing in the fourth weekend of the month:

    • UPDATE: The date for the Mengoni Grand Prix has actually been pushed back to April, so the fourth weekend in March will actually feature a standard CRCA Club Race rather than an “Open Race”

    • At the same time, there is another Branchbrook Series race in Newark on Saturday, for those that prefer a more crit-like race experience.

    • And the regional MTB season kicks off with Aistriu Mayhem in Medford, New Jersey. If you’re a MTB racer who is building your 2025 race calendar, we suggest checking out Shane’s recent post: Where to Race Mountain Bikes in the Northeast 2025.

    • Then there is a plethora of racing, local and otherwise on Sunday including the Verge Series in Prospect Park.

    • Further afield, one of the first gravel events of the season will take place at Natchaug Epic. Tom wrote about this event a few years back and recommended checking it out: The Natchaug Epic: A Weekend in Connecticut's "Quiet Corner"

  • March 29-30: the month winds down with back-to-back local race days at Branchbrook Series on Saturday and Prospect Park on Sunday. For our New England friends, the Wells Avenue crit also happens on Sunday.

If we are missing any races from the calendar just drop us a note using the contact form on the TBD Race Calendar page. We want to make sure the calendar is as comprehensive as possible.
