CRCA Women’s Development Series: Racing, Learning, and Building Community

The Century Road Club Association (CRCA) is one of the largest clubs in the country and plays an essential role in hosting and promoting bike racing here in NYC. If you’ve ever thought about trying bike racing but didn’t know where to start, the CRCA Women’s Development Series is the perfect entry point! Whether you're brand new or looking to level up, this series is all about building confidence, learning skills, and making racing more accessible for W/T/F riders.

What’s the CRCA Women’s Development Series?

The CRCA is running 12 Club Races this year in Central Park, starting March 2. Each race day includes a Women’s Development field, giving Category 4/Novice riders a dedicated place to compete. In addition to club races, the series features additional CRCA Open Races, W/T/f only coaching sessions, and two beginner race clinics (dates to be announced).

Not a CRCA member? No worries! All Women’s Development Series races are open to non-members with a USA Cycling (USAC) license. While we highly recommend locking down your 2025 membership, there is also an opportunity to pre-register for individual races on BikeReg.

Throughout the 2025 season, the CRCA Women's Development Series Leader Competition will highlight and reward the top-performing Cat 4/5 women racers. Racers will earn points based on their race results starting with the first club race. At the season’s conclusion, the racer with the highest cumulative points will be crowned the overall series winner.

Who Can RACE?

The series is open to:

  • W/T/F racers

  • Category 4/Novice riders

  • W/T/F racers with a valid USA Cycling license
