Brooklyn Cyclocross

Cyclocross is my favourite cycling discipline to shoot; there are a multitude of spots, pain faces and different techniques on display in a small area. With COVID cancelling the 2020 season I was looking for something cyclocross related to shoot closer to home.

On my weekly runs, I kept eyeing off the Pier 4 beach at Brooklyn Bridge Park as a spot that would be a cool spot to shoot someone on a Cylocross bike. The idea was formed to shoot a few different Brooklyn spots on a cross bike, early one weekend to not get in anyone’s way.

I hit up Russ and told him the plan and he was very quick to say yes (despite the very cold temps).

I hope you enjoy these shots - I love the way our new baby blue outerwear really pops in images.

I am a New York City based cyclist formally from Melbourne. Races of less than an hour are my jam and I’m @wheresscott on the gram. You’ll find me taking photos to escape the accountant life and running through winter to escape the cold.
