Weekend Roll: Good Weather Until It Wasn't
NYC racing is only three (3) weeks away! And its starting to feel like it. In the name of Lisa Vandivort's recent annual celebration of birth, the squad and CityMD Women's Racing Team friends came out in force to knock-out some Cycle-Smart prescribed intervals and some not-so-prescribed french pastries.
As the season nears, training plans are continuing to diverge as race targets and general cycling goals spread the group out. Saturday was no different, which seems to be an unavoidable aspect of structured training on group rides despite the team coaching plan. So planning a common rendezvous-turn around spot was a great solution. Patisserie Didier Dumas in the Village of Nyack was a new stop for me, and definitely one that I intend on returning to.
With temperatures hitting 50 degrees Fahrenheit in the City, it promised to be a lovely day. But the rain came exactly when forecasted, causing a very very cold and wet ride home, which - if the 2017 season was any indicator for 2018 - are great conditions to get used to riding in.
