CRCA Fort Lee Criterium Photoset
Fort Lee is one of the best courses that is within riding distance from any NYC borough.
I got a free entry to Fort Lee criterium two weeks ago by winning a prime at Rockleigh Crit. I already had a loaded training week planed for the same week, but free entry meant that I was definitely going to do the race even though my legs were shattered.
Knowing I was tired, I came to the race prepared. I had all my camera equipment just in case I got dropped. And what I imagined might happen, did happen. I wrapped my chain around my crank earlier in the race and I had to spend rest of the race riding solo trying to catch the front group until I got pulled.
I didn't have good memories of the Fort Lee Criterium from the last time I raced it. The only thing I remembered was how stressful the third turn was. However, even racing the first half of the race on Sunday was enough to change my mind. Fort Lee is a really fun and difficult race and I can't wait to race it next year.
I hope you enjoy the photo set below.
