Zero Visibility
We may not have the grand climbs of the Western United States or the cobbles of Europe but every once in awhile our 'boring' routes across the GWB and up the Hudson can still surprise even the most jaded of New York City cyclists.
This past week has been full of those surprises - from a foggy Thursday morning to a high of 72 degrees on Friday (in February!) and now a Saturday morning with the city buried under an even denser layer of fog, reminding us of a team ride that we immediately nicknamed "Zero Visibility." It was a moniker selected with good reason - from the GWB to River Road to the hills above Piermont and Nyack we found ourselves in a perpetual fog, visibility extending only slightly into the distance:
