Race Season Eve
I still can not believe that the road season is only 3 days away. And, that there are at least 3 races listed around NYC for the opening weekend.
That said, last weekend we were blessed to have a 60F degree day to open up the legs. Going out for a big team ride after the winter is like cleaning up the spiderwebs. Everything hurts, but it is a great place to see where you are at and also have an understanding of what changes you need to do to your training going forward.
When the guys get together the whole "easy" ride plan goes out the window especially it is nice out enough to be able to wear shorts on a February Sunday. Steady pace becomes full throttle on 9W, and the short ride becomes "Let's hit the college hills after Rockland."
After racing solo all last season, it was really cool ride with people will push me. Last Sunday got me so excited for the racing season even though I am not too excited about getting up at 4:30 AM.
I am looking forward to be a part of this team for 2016 season and having a group of strong riders who will make the whole season fun and interesting. See you on Saturday.
