The FBF Boogie
With summer settling over New York with it's warm and soon to be disgustingly humid embrace, weeknights take on a new and at times dangerous routine: dodging and diving around unruly drivers and oversized vehicles on the road to FBF. All to slug it out with some of NYC's finest/craziest cyclists on a beat up and mostly abandoned airstrip in Brooklyn. It may not look like much, but in a city and a region that has lost a lot of great bike races in the past few years, these Tuesday and Thursday nights spent at FBF are one of the great elements of racing bikes in NYC (at least for those cyclists that can get out of work early).
